The festival attracts an international audience and combines large-scale concerts with the unforgettable experience of watching major artists perform beside the Atlantic Ocean.
The 2026 programme features performers including Burna Boy, Tyla, Asake and Wizkid, alongside artists appearing across the festival’s different stages. Faro International Motorcycle Rally
16–19 July 2026 | Vale das Almas, Faro
The Faro International Motorcycle Rally, locally known as the Concentração Internacional de Motos de Faro, is one of the most distinctive events on the Algarve’s summer calendar.
For several days, Faro welcomes motorcycle riders and enthusiasts from Portugal and abroad. The gathering combines the motorcycling community, entertainment and live music in a relaxed festival atmosphere at Vale das Almas.

Silves Medieval Fair

For nine summer evenings, the historic city of Silves travels back in time.
The Silves Medieval Fair takes place throughout the streets surrounding the city’s imposing red sandstone castle. Costumed performers, musicians, merchants and craftspeople recreate the atmosphere of the medieval period, when Silves was one of the most important cities in the region.
Visitors can wander through historical markets, watch street performances, discover traditional crafts and enjoy food served in surroundings inspired by the Middle Ages. The illuminated castle and narrow streets make the experience particularly atmospheric after sunset.
It is an excellent event for couples, groups and families who want to combine entertainment with an introduction to the history and cultural heritage of the Algarve.
Olhão Seafood Festival
10–15 August 2026 | Olhão Waterfront
Olhão is one of the Algarve’s most important fishing communities, making it the perfect setting for the region’s best-known seafood celebration.
The Festival do Marisco, or Seafood Festival, brings together local gastronomy and live entertainment beside the waterfront. Visitors can sample freshly prepared seafood and shellfish while enjoying concerts in the Jardim Pescador Olhanense.
The festival is an opportunity to try some of the flavours most closely associated with the Algarve, including prawns, clams, crab and other seafood sourced from the coast and the nearby Ria Formosa.
The 2026 musical programme includes Matias Damásio, Calema, Mariza and Daniela Mercury, offering a different concert experience each evening.
FATACIL — Lagoa
21–30 August 2026 | Parque Municipal de Feiras e Exposições de Lagoa
FATACIL is much more than a traditional fair. Its name represents the areas at the heart of the event: crafts, tourism, agriculture, commerce and industry.
Held over ten days in Lagoa, FATACIL brings together exhibitors, regional products, traditional food, Portuguese crafts, agricultural displays and entertainment. The programme also includes major concerts, equestrian performances and demonstrations of Portuguese folk culture.
It is one of the most varied events in the Algarve and an excellent choice for families, as different generations can find something to enjoy within the same venue.
The 2026 concert programme includes artists such as Tony Carreira, Plutónio, Sara Correia, Richie Campbell, Quim Barreiros and Os Quatro e Meia.
Festival F — Faro

Festival F is often described as the final major festival of the Portuguese summer.
Taking place in Faro, the event brings together established names and emerging artists from Portuguese music. The setting is an important part of the experience, with performances integrated into the historic atmosphere of the Algarve’s capital.
